Nikola Tesla’s ideas and inventions were so radically advanced that many regarded him as a mad scientist while he was alive. Now, with the hindsight of 60+ years of science, we can see that he was indeed simply a genius with ideas that would revolutionize many different industries. Inventions such as x-rays and wireless energy transmission can be traced to some of Tesla’s earliest experiments. Unfortunately, he had a much publicized rivalry with Thomas Edison, and this caused many of his inventions to be scorned because of Edison’s superior political power and public speaking ability. Tesla would be proud of things like the Kindle Fire, which wouldn’t have been possible without some of his groundbreaking research. I bought one of these for myself a few weeks ago and it’s been perfect for traveling.
